LRE Invest Africa advanced its institutional agenda in Uganda through working meetings with two key national bodies: the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) and the Uganda Investment Authority (UIA).
At the invitation of NEMA, LRE presented its portfolio of projects to Ugandan authorities, outlining initiatives in energy, extractives, sustainability, and infrastructure. The company’s leadership — Leon Guimarães, Camila Fontana, and J. Ruben Marone — highlighted the environmental and social principles guiding the development of each project, with a focus on compliance with international standards and long-term value creation.
The discussions reinforced LRE’s commitment to developing private investment in alignment with Uganda’s strategic priorities, regulatory framework, and local development goals. Through direct dialogue with public institutions, the company seeks to structure projects that combine financial viability, environmental responsibility, and positive impact for communities.
LRE also met with the Uganda Investment Authority, represented by Susan Nakibuuka, to discuss opportunities in the Ugandan market and the institutional support available to international investors. The meeting further strengthened the company’s engagement with Uganda’s investment ecosystem and its plans to build a solid, collaborative presence in the country and across East Africa.
