LRE Invest Africa held a working meeting with the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry to discuss how the company’s investment pipeline can translate into direct and indirect employment for Ugandans.
The conversation focused on connecting LRE’s projects across mining, renewable energy, sustainability, engineering and agronomy with the country’s labour market, ensuring that each initiative creates skilled jobs, supplier opportunities and training for local communities.
Representatives explored practical mechanisms to expand hiring, strengthen local supply chains and support small and medium enterprises that orbit large-scale investments. The Chamber of Commerce reinforced its role as a bridge between investors and Uganda’s business community, while LRE confirmed its commitment to a development model where capital and community grow together.
The agenda also included a meeting with Ambassador Katureebe Tayebwa, based in Washington DC, together with his advisors Benon and George, and with Camila Fontana taking part in the conversation. The talks focused on strengthening the institutional and diplomatic relationships that underpin LRE’s strategy, connecting global and Brazilian private capital with Uganda’s priority sectors and its growing role in the region.
“Investment only delivers its full value when it reaches people,” the company noted, highlighting that job creation remains a central measure of success for every mandate LRE leads in Uganda.
Both sides agreed to keep building on this partnership, aligning future projects with national priorities for employment, skills development and inclusive economic growth.
