LRE Meets Uganda’s Chamber of Commerce to Drive Job Creation

LRE Invest Africa held a working meeting with the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry to discuss how the company’s investment pipeline can translate into direct and indirect employment opportunities for Ugandans.

The meeting included Olive Kigongo, President of the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a key figure in Uganda’s business community and an important institutional voice in connecting private investment with national economic development.

The conversation focused on aligning LRE’s projects across mining, renewable energy, sustainability, engineering, and agronomy with the country’s labour market. The goal is to ensure that each initiative contributes to skilled job creation, supplier opportunities, and training for local communities.

Representatives discussed practical mechanisms to expand local hiring, strengthen Ugandan supply chains, and support small and medium-sized enterprises connected to large-scale investments. The Chamber reinforced its role as a bridge between investors and Uganda’s business community, while LRE confirmed its commitment to a development model in which capital and communities grow together.

“Investment only delivers its full value when it reaches people,” the company noted, highlighting that job creation remains a central measure of success for every mandate LRE leads in Uganda.

Both sides agreed to continue building on this partnership, aligning future projects with national priorities for employment, skills development, and inclusive economic growth.
